Dream
Brian’s passions include soccer and Mathematics. He was always able to master mathematical concepts two years ahead of his peers. He is not new to math competitions and even was the winner of the AMC in 9th grade. He was also chose to participate in the AIME, which is given to just 3% of the world’s population. In the summer of 2020, when the global economy was in turmoil due to COVID-19, he chose to stay in Korea and took online classes. At that time, his father’s swimming pool business suffered a huge loss due to Corona 19 and went out of business. While his father and company employees were discussing countermeasures, Brian who was studying next door, gave advice by calculating the cost and expected income of the case of breaking down the swimming pool and remodeling it into an office and renting it. After examining this, his father and the company employees came up with a concrete plan that had sufficient validity. He chose to use his real-life experience to turn an unprecedented event into a new opportunity as an internship. While doing the work, he discovered another space that had been left unattended in the same building, and suggested ideas that could be used there, He was then able to carry out the work at the same time.
As of 2022, all work was completed and successfully leased, increasing the company’s income. The synergy effect was also maximized as the exterior appearance of the building, which was almost neglected, was changed beautifully, and rents for other spaces also increased.
While participating in many meetings and construction projects, Brian met numerous people and gained information and knowledge about the business. This then allowed him to secure regular income by purchasing some equity of the company with the money received in exchange for the internship.
In the meantime, the company has secured about $50,000 of funds from the company’s income to establish a non-profit foundation called K. This non-profit group assists people who are marginalized in society.
Participated in HALO (Humanitarian Aid and Love Organization) and RAY (Resilience Amongst Youth) from the 10th as well as the holiday park cleaning event (pictured). The group donated household items and clothing to orphanages. Because of this, the non-profit received awards from the government and other organizations.
Brian was born and raised by his parents in Korea. Before coming to the United States, his mother instilled in him a habit to always give those in need, and because of this, he regularly makes donations and monetary contributions to Leukemia Foundation, orphanages, as well as organizations that support single mothers. We donated 200 soccer balls to a Zambian boy who dreams of becoming a future soccer player and are continuing the donations every month. When war broke out in Myanmar, we sponsored patient treatment costs. Now, while he is concentrating on preparing for college, he is also gaining business experience by helping his father in his spare time with his apartment construction project, which is expected to generate about 13.2 million dollars in profit in just four years. After graduating from university, Brian’s dream to acquire or create a professional soccer team like LA Galaxy, to become that person who helps society and his juniors by doing what he enjoys and excels at. When Brian was in the 10th grade, he got a serious injury during a soccer game but didn’t give up on the advice of those around him to stop playing soccer for a year, rather he continued treatment and rehabilitation and has recovered from the injury.
